Vitra Eames Elephant is designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945. However, this particular piece was never put into production. One prototype was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1946 and remains in the Eames family archives today. After the release of the first limited edition in 2007, Vitra began serial production of the Eames Elephant in plywood in 2018.
The Eames plywood Elephant is available in cherry wood or in a specially numbered and named series also stained grey.
The Eames Elephant is also available in plastic, ideal for children, as well as a smaller plastic version, the Eames Elephant (small), both of which are available in several different colors.
