HAY Pao lamps were created in collaboration with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. The lamps, in all their simplicity, are beautiful everyday objects that were inspired by the designer's trip to Mongolia. On his trip, Fukasawa saw many local tents, called "Pao" in Japanese, illuminating the landscape. Fukasawa was attracted by the glowing shape of these tents, which represented comfort and warmth, as well as the safety of home. Based on these ideas, the Pao lighting series was born, which includes floor, table and ceiling lamps in several different colors.
