Vitra Tabouret Bois stool was designed by Jean Prouvé during World War II. Jean Prouvé designed and implemented several interior design projects for the chemical company Solvay. A number of pieces of furniture were developed in connection with this commission, including this wooden stool. Tabouret Bois's solid wood components give it a sense of ease and sophistication. Due to the scarcity of metal during World War II, the Tabouret Bois stool was designed and built with wooden legs.
The table is available in three different finishes: oiled oak, dark oak and oiled walnut.
