The Vitra Tabouret 307 stool was born in 1951 from the pen of the Frenchman Jean Prouvé. At that time, Prouvé designed many different stools, which he named with different numbers. The solid oak seat of the Tabouret 307 stool is reminiscent of the Aix-Marseille University lecture hall seats that Prouvé designed around the same time. The stool combines a beautiful combination of wood and steel characteristic of its designer - the wooden seat of the Tabouret 307 stool rests calmly on the graceful tubular steel legs.
