The complex structure of the &Tradition Daystak RD3 desk hides behind its visual simplicity and minimalist, medieval silhouette. This perfectly describes Robin Day's dedication to the craft. Equipped with a drawer with a prominent dovetail joint, the Daystak table expands the design's functional potential, creating a desk that embodies Day's unique creative vision.
Robin Day (1915-2010) grew up in the furniture manufacturing town of High Wycombe. After graduating from London's Royal College of Art, his dream of becoming a furniture designer was put aside by the outbreak of World War II. Instead, he developed his skills by making drawings and models for architects, painting signs, producing advertising cards for fashion stores and teaching technical drawing and lettering part-time. He later became a respected exhibition designer before progressing to become a globally renowned furniture designer.
