The HAY Crate Lounge sofa has been given a new life thanks to the Rietveld Originals x HAY collaboration. The Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld originally designed the Lounge sofa back in 1934. The entire Crate product family was born at that time from the idea of ​​using extra wooden shipping boxes. Respecting this original idea and design, the Crate Lounge sofa shows with the new launch the same precisely balanced proportions, unapologetic structure, respect for the material and minimization of production costs.

The HAY Crate Lounge sofa has a gently sloping backrest, sturdy armrests and plenty of seating space. The designer's characteristic architectural style is reflected in the low design of the chair, while offering functionality and comfort for sitting.
