The Woodnotes Willow paper carpet was designed by the Swedish design agency Claesson Koivisto Rune, and is based on the original model that was designed for the Helsinki Design Week event in 2002. The 2022 version of the carpet has gone through the product development process and uses current natural dyes. The carpet's beautiful, irregularly rhythmic dark stripes are dyed with a dye made from willow bark, which has given the carpet its name "Willow." The color tone of the Willow carpet is gently dark and creates a pleasant, natural atmosphere in the space. It is particularly significant that the willow's natural dye is locally produced. Willow is grown and collected in Finland, and a dye for dyeing carpets is made from it.
