Design House Stockholm
Anders Färdig founded Design House Stockholm in 1992, so-called as a design publishing house. The company brought out its first own products in 1997. Design House Stockholm has a peculiar, in many ways reversed way of working with its designers. They do not choose a designer for the product, but interested designers bring their own ideas to the table. In this way, the products have a strong, original and human stamp. The goal is to gather behind the name the best Scandinavian collection that lives beyond trends. This is achieved with bold products that always bring something new to their genre.
In Design House Stockholm, we don't only rely on great designers, but through it, many unknown designers have made their products available to everyone. The Block hit lamp was designed by Harri Koskinen, when he was still an unknown student. The lamp gained worldwide popularity and is currently one of the most famous lamps in the Design House Stockholm collection. Over the years, more than a hundred designers have increased the selection of Design House Stockholm with their unique products.
