The Vitra S.A.M Bois dining table was designed by Jean Prouvé during World War II. Jean Prouvé designed and implemented several interior design projects for the chemical company Solvay. A number of pieces of furniture were developed in connection with this commission, including this table made of wood. S.A.M Bois solid wood components give it a sense of ease and sophistication. Due to the scarcity of metal during World War II, the S.A.M Bois table was designed and built with wooden legs.
The table is available in several different sizes and with three different finishes. Please contact us by phone or email if you are interested in options other than those shown.
