The Vitra LTR Occasional table is a classic, which is suitable both as a coffee table and as a side table next to a chair. The letter abbreviation LTR in the name of the table comes from the words "Low Table Rod Base", which reflects the table's low appearance and rod-like leg. The table, already designed in 1950, works beautifully both alone and in a group of several tables. Several different variations of the LTR Occasional table designed by Charles and Ray Eames were found in the designer couple's own home. Even today, the multipurpose small table is available with either a black or chrome base and numerous cover options.
