HAY AAC23 is a versatile chair with a clean-lined design, which is suitable for dining room chairs, restaurants, and office chairs. The chair belongs to the HAY About A Chair product family.

The About A series was designed by the Danish Hee Welling, who founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. Welling has received numerous different Design awards, such as Bo Bedre Award (Germany), Good Design Award (USA). In addition, he has been named Danish designer of the year in 2013 and 2014. Welling's work is united by a fine understanding of proportions and quiet elegance. For HAY, Welling has designed the About A series as well as the Hee lounge, bar and dining chairs. HAY introduced ecological water-based varnishes in early 2021. This replaced the previously used matte and clear varnishes.

HAY – sustainable and creative solutions

HAY was founded in 2002 and already in the same year it had a furniture collection. The rapid start was not visible in the products, as they were uncompromisingly high quality from the very beginning. HAY's answer to the ever-changing world is thought-provoking furniture, which are such creative and sustainable solutions to everyday problems that they don't need to be put aside.
