Behind the HAY About A Stool AAS32 bar stool is the desire to create a reduced chair that is easy to place in different environments. The end result was the clean-lined About A Stool bar stool. Thanks to its strong, but neutral appearance, it is suitable for homes, offices and cafes.

Hee Welling, who designed the AAS32 bar stool, has won several awards for his work, such as the Bo Bedre Award, the Good Design Award and he has been named Danish Designer of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Welling's work can be described as a union of perfect proportions and quiet elegance.

NOTE This chair is still so-called with the old seat part made of polypropylene. The material of the seat parts of the About A product family was updated to recycled plastic in 2023. The names of the shades remain unchanged, but due to the material change, you may notice small differences in the new shades from the old ones. Please note this if you are purchasing newer About A series chairs and bar stools to pair with the chairs you previously purchased.
