Artek 402 is a lounge chair with a light structure, which is relaxed and tidy at the same time. The bent frame supports the padded seat part and the back of the lounger tilts slightly backwards. Since wood is a living material, both armrests of the lounge chair are made from one split piece. This ensures that the chair does not start to sway over the years, but maintains its shape over time. The lounge chair designed by Alvar Aalto was presented for the first time at the Milan Triennale in 1933.
