HAY Soft Edge is a soft-edged bar stool designed by Iskos-Berlin. The oak legs stand firmly under the curved-edged seat part. HAY's Soft Edge series includes several different products made with the same idea of ​​a soft-edged seat, such as standard stools and chairs with backs in different variations with either metal or wooden legs.

The name Iskos-Berlin reflects the collaboration of two designers, Aleksej Iskos and Boris Berlin. The partners work in the fields of industry, furniture and graphic design. Their approach to design is summed up in the phrase: "see design as the art of storytelling". Iskos-Berlin pays particular attention to the materiality of objects, often letting this determine the direction of their own design work.

For HAY, Iskos-Berlin has created the Soft Edge series, which is created with the idea that there is no perfect sitting position, but the most natural essence of a person is continuous dynamic movement.

HAY – sustainable and creative solutions

HAY was founded in 2002 and already in the same year it had a furniture collection. The rapid start was not visible in the products, as they were uncompromisingly high quality from the very beginning.
